Frosty morning
Posted: November 6, 2012 Filed under: weather | Tags: alaskan malamute, frost, park, puppy 46 CommentsIt was seriously cold and frosty this morning and I was super excited to get to the park, I practically dragged mummy there!
The ground looked like this all crunchy and cold – I was in heaven! OK it might not be snow, but it’s heading in the right direction! Mummy’s fingers were cold as she only had fingerless gloves, but I was lovely and warm in my fluffy coat 🙂
Mummy tried to take some pics of me playing in the frosty grass but I used my ‘last-second evasion technique’ which involved sitting patiently until the absolute last moment before moving, just like this hahaha
If you don’t have a big coat like me, I hope you are keeping warm!
Misaki
I know you’we looking fowawd to that lovely snow, fow which youw bootiful coat is pawfect..I don’t have such a gowgoos coat, but love the snow too. It won’t be long now
smoochie kisses
ASTA
I hope not! I’m so excited!
aaah frosting leafs – are they frosted with sugar or caramel ?
With sugar – yum yum:-)
its cool and frosty in the mornings here too and Boomer and Dottie are loving it w/ their labbydor coats!
I bet they are!
I think Monty has a degree in the evading pictures – what doggy college do you go to for that?
Sam
Glad to hear I’m not the only one!
It’s frosty here as well Misaki…..26 degrees this morning and WAY too cold for my toesies! Having extra toes means having extra COLD so I’m staying inside today. You look “in your element” though……glad you were able to play in the frost !
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
Oh wow, that is cold!! (I only understand celsius so had to look that up bol) It’s warmed up now but was about 4 degrees this morning, which I think is around 40F
It’z cold enough to freeze the ball’z off a brass monkey..Humom had to work this morning…shock, horror..Will send grown up letter later :)xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
Hehehehe. Tell mummy not to work too hard!
We just been out too Misaki and I had a whole 2 hours squiggle chasing. Loving the cooler weather and it is sunny so just right. Ha ha love your camera evasion technique. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
Good job Molly! Glad you’re showing those pesky squiggles who’s boss!
It’s cold in our little bit of country too Misaki! Don’t you just love walking on crunchin’ kind of leaves. Smell good too!
I love it! This is definitely my favourite time of year:-)
I had fun too Misaki. I’ve never felt that cold inbetween my toes but the Mountain Dog in me just kept on dancing *wag wag wag* what do you mean when you say it’s heading in the right direction? I’ve never had a winter before but my human thinks I’ll like it *wag wag wag*
It snowed when I first came to live with my humans and it was pawesome!! I had so much fun jumping around in it, playing snowballs with my daddy…You’ll love it!! I just hope we don’t have to wait tooo long!
Torrey is excited for the cold weather too, especially snow.
I can’t wait!
Your coat is incredible! Mom saw frost outside, and put my pink, checkered parka on me. So I kinda had fur like you, but just around the hood!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I bet you look so sweet in your little coat 🙂
I DO!!
So you’re the one who taught Litchi that trick. 🙂
hehehehe! It sure is a popular move among us furbuddies 🙂
it was super “frosty” here in Michigan this morning too. Mom wasn’t thrilled scraping it off of her car 🙂
Hehe neither was my daddy!
Bet you didn’t much fancy all that sitting on the cold cold grass – no wonder you sabotaged Mummy’s photos!
Exactly! I’d much rather be pouncing on leaves and scouting for bread left out for the birds:-)
As long as you’re having fun!
I sure was:-)
We have had lots of frosty mornings so far and we love them, no coat, our fur is just fine! Enjoy!
Glad you’re enjoying it too:-)
In the afternoon the temperature is better than in the morning. I had to use my gloves for the first time this morning! Bbrrr…
That’s the noise mummy made too:-)
aha! Mals have also mastered and bred into the breed the art of photo avoidance…just like Sibes…you guys do it better than we cats even…high paws, Misaki
High paws back:-)
We missed you! It was frosty here too. Misaki, it looks like you love it. Cocco absolutely does not! Want to share some of your warmth with him? 🙂
Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Definitely:-)
🙂 I am a dog breed who was bred for the mountains and the snow and I haven’t seen either! In fact, I have never even seen frost.
Heading to summer here and having some hot days. My coat is clipped short and there is the air conditioning when it gets uncomfortable.
Maybe we’ll take a trip to the snow one day and I’ll find out what it is you like Misaki.
Stay cool zena. You’ll have to come to the uk for your summer, get animal couriers to bribg you over. You can stay with me and i’ll be your bodyguard:-)
We always admire the beautiful colored coats that so many of our furry friends wear when it gets cold, but like you, we have our own built-in furry warm coats. It is the Momster we have to figure out how to keep warm so we keep getting our walks.
Great avoid-the-flashy-beast technique, Misaki.
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Maybe if you walk extra fast then she’ll have to jog to keep up and that will keep your mummy warm:-)
Your toes must have been cold in that frost! I am sure it was a very refreshing and fast walk this morning!
ps. I LOVE your ‘last-second evasion technique’ … it’s a real talent! :-p
Hehe i practice that move all the time:-)
You are getting to weather you love Misaki, I know. Mica and Lexie can’t wait for the cold and ice and snow. My idea of a perfect day is warm and sunny but that is definitely not their choice!!
