Pumpkin Fever!

The plan is that mummy and daddy are going to help me carve one each. Once finished, I get to decide the best one to enter in Sammy’s pumpkin carving contest!
The thing is in the whole time mummy and daddy have been together daddy has NEVER carved a pumpkin. Mummy on the other hand does one every year. She was very proud of her (rather basic) Jack Skellington pumpkin:

So she really needs to up her game this time!! But most of all I hope they both manage to keep all their fingers!

We love the ET carving, but I think you probably need to carve for a lot of Halloweens before you can do one that good!
So true! I don’t think either of them have the skill to produce something that good, but you never know!

In all honesty, I don’t think my mummy and daddy will be putting up much competition. But perhaps we have some expert pumpkin carvers in our midst…

Oh Misaki your Daddy picked out some lovely pumpkins for your parents to decorate! I love your Mom’s pumpkin from last year and that ET one is amazing…..if my Daddy tried to do THAT, I’m sure he would have said some language that would be unrepeatable and perhaps lost a finger or two! I’ve sent my costume contest entry in to Miss Mollie and can’t WAIT to see the “winning pumpkin” at your house that is entered in my pumpkin decorating contest…..Halloween is such FUN!

Mummy is planning to carve her pumpkin tomorrow night, she’s waiting for inspiration to hit her! I hope it doesn’t hit her too hard BOL
Too bad your parents can’t take carving lessons from the guy across the hall from me. He makes a scary freak-head pumpkin every year. It’s not out there, yet. So far, so good. Maybe he’ll keep it inside this time.

Sounds like his pumpkins are amazing!
Our Lady doesn’t like carving them so she has gotten some from Michael’s that are fake and carved them once and keep them forever. Hope you got to help carve. Hailey and Zaphod
Good plan! And much less wasteful. My nanny used to have a pumpkin-shaped candle which was awesome:-)
There are some ruper cool carved pumpkins out there. Mom gave up on carving – usually carved herself more than the pumpkins and it was a bloody mess. Now if anything we paint them. Good luck 😉

Mom bought a pumpkin for us about 3 weeks ago. We do not carve them for some reason, she likes to look at them whole! When she was young, my human grandpa and Mom painted them!
