The nice people at Pawsome box recently got in touch to ask me if I wanted to review one of their subscriptions boxes. I said yes please – like there was any doubt:-) Look at all the lovely things they sent.
I got a squeaky pig, a giggly toy, ear spray, an ID tag, a bone and chicken Sushi 🙂
Mummy struggled to get a decent pic of me and my bone. It was yummy!!!
This is me and Mr Pig chilling.
And me nomming some low-fat chicken treats.
The subscription boxes cost £19.90 a month and considering the amount of things in my box I think this is pretty reasonable. And they also have a sister company called Purrfect Box for kitties. Pretty cool, right?
Thanks so much Pawsome Box for my ‘pawsome’ box 🙂
Pawsome Box provided me with one of their boxes for review, but did not otherwise compensate me for this post. The views and opinions expressed in this post and on this blog are entirely my own.
The other day I was contacted by Top Collar Natural treats about reviewing some of their treats and at the weekend they arrived.
Top Collar is UK dog treat company who offer a subscription box service that send out treats every two weeks. It costs £8.99 and they have an array of flavours, from Salmon and egg to rice and beans. They can accommodate personal preferences so if there is a flavour your dog doesn’t like you can opt not to receive it, and similarly if there’s one they like alot you can add it to your ‘big wags’ list and receive it more often.
The first thing I noticed is that it came in a slimline package so it fitted perfectly in the letterbox. This means there’s no worries about being out when it arrives.
The treats themselves are made from all natural ingredients, Top Collar pride themselves on not relying on any salts, fats, or additives to improve the taste. There was a generous amount of treats in the bags, which is resealable. And most of all they taste yummy!!
Mummy had trouble taking photos of me eating them as I gobbled them so quickly lol.
I love that these get sent regularly to your house, I think it’s a fab idea. And hope that you will check them out. You can find out more on their website: http://www.topcollar.co.uk

I thought I’d join in on Tasty Tuesday today to tell you about a product I recently discovered through a Groupon offer. It’s called Oggi’s Oven and they are packet mixes to make dog treats. I wasn’t asked to write this, but I really liked the idea of Oggi’s Oven and wanted to share.
In theory mummy would like to make more treats for me, but let’s face it she’s not the best cook and she doesn’t always have the time. Using a mix makes her feel like she’s making them herself. When she’s really only bunging them in the oven LOL:-)
Oggi’s Oven have mixes for biscuits, cakes and scones. All are free from artificial ingredients and preservatives. The mix also comes with a bone-shaped cutter.
We tried making the biscuits. Which were super easy, though I have to say we had to add more water than was suggested on the packet. After 15 mins in the oven, they were ready:
We made the plain version, but the box does suggest alternatives like adding cheese or a meat stock in place of the water.
But the question is, did I like them?
What do you think? LOL.
We’ve also bought the scone and cake mix so will be trying those too. I really think this is a great idea. But have to say they are a little tricky to get hold of. ATM none of the big pet stores or supermarkets seems to stock them and they are only available through Amazon as an ‘add-on’ item. Their website does have a list of stockists but they are mostly small outlets. I’m just hoping they’ll become more popular and more readily available so we can buy some more!
Mummy has been so slack helping me with my bloggy but I hope to get round to visit everyone today. Before I start, I quickly wanted to tell you about something pawesome that happened last night.
As you know mummy hides all the good stuff on top of the freezer, and balancing precariously on top was an open box of Wagg’mms biscuits (liver flavour, my favourite). Anyway, she opened the freezer door and down they tumbled. It literally rained dog biscuits:-) And then it became a race of how quickly we could pick them up. But as I don’t have thumbs I had to use my mouth hehehe. I think I won *burp*.
Things went downhill later on though as mummy and daddy decided to watch a film in bed on the laptop. Apparently I was in the way of the screen though so they turned it into a dog top:
Aren’t they meanies!?
Anyway have a great friday all.
Can you believe it’s December?! I’m so happy that I got to open the first door on my advent calendar yesterday. And I got my first Christmas card:-) Mummy and daddy haven’t got any yet hahahaha!
To make the start of the month even better, Mummy also made these cool cheese biscuits for me. Daddy tried one and said they weren’t very good, but they weren’t for him!
I liked them and that’s all that matters:-)
There is also talk of pupcakes and I saw something being hidden on top of the freezer which is mummy’s favourite hiding place…I wonder what has brought all this on? Maybe you should pop back tomorrow to find out!
At the weekend, mummy decided to make me some treats. She has made some before, but not for aaaagggeeees, so I was pretty surprised and impressed.
Nanny had given her a dog treat recipe book and she chose to make one of the easiest ones, which were apple and honey bites. It was just a case of mixing apples, wholegrain flour with an egg and some honey and then baking them. They came out like this:
Once they’d cooled it was the taste test. I was determined to be honest and critical.
Have to say she did a pretty good job and I would happily eat them all in one go. But as usual she was a meanie and I only got 1:-( At this rate they’ll go moldy before I get to eat them all!
Does your mummy ever make treats for you? And if, so, what’s your favourite?
Today is fireworks night, so stay safe everyone. We’ve had almost constant banging over the past few nights, and I’m pretty cool with them now. The odd extra loud makes my ears prick up but other than that I’ve just ignored them. That’s not to say I won’t be pleased when they stop though.
As I mentioned recently I’m now an official Wagg reviewer!
And It’s time for my very first review. Exciting! Are you sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin.
The very dashing Dalton, face of Wagg (and possible future husband) sent me 3 packs of his brand new biscuits appropriately called Wagg’mmms to try out. Before the box was even opened my nose started twitching and I did my best to ‘help’ mummy open it.
First of all these are a great size: not too small (though I wouldn’t complain if they were bigger!) And they come in three flavours – chicken, salmon and liver. Like most doggies I LOVE liver and although I like all three biscuits, it’s the liver ones that are definitely my favourite. I had to make a video for the Wagg website in which I gobbled down lots of treats that were laid out for me. I annoyed mummy greatly by ruining her idea and instead of eating each one in turn I targetted the liver ones first! I think that says it all.
You can see my video here:
I can’t rate these highly enough. Mummy has nearly lost several fingers while I tried them. Of course I had to try quite a few to fully form my opinion 😉
I’m hoping to be able to give some away in a competition very soon, so watch this space!
In the meantime you can find out more info about Wagg’mmms over at Dalton’s bloggy.
Thanks for reading!
As you know, I’ve always been a strong supporter of the Bonio. But I wrote to them a few months ago asking for a job as a tester and was turned away (without even sending me a free sample box as compensation!!) Everytime I’ve taken a bite of one since it’s left a bittersweet taste.
But now the rather dashing Dalton, face of Wagg (and possible future husband) has asked me to become an official reviewer of their products woohoo:-) So it’s bye-bye Bonio and hello Wagg! And I have this lovely badge to prove it:-)
Over the coming months I’m hoping to be able to
eat lots of treats objectively review some of their products and maybe arrange a competition or two! I’ve been told something exciting is on it’s way to me from Wagg so I’m keeping an eye on the door.
Have a good day all!
UPDATE: Don’t forget to head over to Doggy’s to vote in the Greatest Contest of All Time!!!!! Good luck choosing who to vote for, all the entries are fab!
Ate them all:-)
No, not really. Sadly mummy and daddy had already polished them off before I got to have a look in – what meanies they are!
Don’t forget to enter Doggy‘s fabulous competition to win some of Mollie‘s dog treats and bandanas!! If you haven’t already checked it out, you have to make a very short story out of these crazy words:
Mollie, Vamp, Swamp, Patron (tequila), Catfish
‘After successfully catching a catfish from the swamp, Mollie returned home to make her gumbo. She stirred the pot while knocking back a shot of Patron and accidentally elbowed in an extra garlic bulb. Oh well, she thought, at least that will keep the vamps away tonight!’
What will you write??
Don’t delay, enter today!
I’ve mentioned a few times that Mollie‘s mummy makes the most nomalicious homemade treats. And she also makes pawesome bandana’s like the one I’m wearing in my avatar pic:
Anyway, the reason for mentioning this is that Doggy, the self-confessed competition addict, is finally hosting his own contest! And not only that, there are TWO prizes to be won, each consisting of £20 worth of Mollie‘s treats and bandanas!! How cool is that!
To find out how to win, head over to Doggy’s for all the details. And in the meantime you might want to stop by Mollie‘s to start working out what you want if you win. Or you could just buy some anyway:-)
