As you know, I’m a daddy’s girl and I love nothing better than some daddy-daughter playtime 🙂
Do you like playing with your daddy too?
Just a quick reminder about the Valentine’s poem competition. Details on monday’s post. Don’t forget to enter!
In the meantime we’ve had a few more flurries of snow. Roll on more terrible photos. My favourite is this one of me and Bella. hahahaha
I finally got the video uploaded! Yay!
This was actually taken before Christmas but I hadn’t had a chance to do anything with it. You’ll notice that Dottie is wearing a muzzle, this is because she has a bad habit of eating things she shouldn’t. I did offer her my paw a few times to help her take it off BOL
Did you play with any friends today?
Today is my friend Bella’s 1st birthday. So here’s a little video of us playing together. Although I am at least twice her size I go easy on her and happily perform a few judo rolls to make her think she has the upperhand. She is a bit sneaky though and often goes for my collar and ruff, but I don’t mind, it is her birthday afterall:-)
This video also stars her daddy.
Have a good weekend everyone!
The other day I bumped into my friend Cooper who I haven’t seen for a few months. Last time I saw him he looked like this:
When Sebastian and I caught up with him a few days ago, he looked like this:
Mummy was so surprised, she cut my head off in the pic! You’ll also notice I soaking wet. Cooper decided to push me into the stream lol. Though I wasn’t complaining as it was a super hot day!
I’m glad he’s big enough for a real rough and tumble game now.
Hope you’re having a good day!
I’d like to introduce you to my buddy Luna, She’s a husky-collie cross and is about a year and a half. I think she looks alot like Lexus from Loved by a Husky. Here’s a little video of us together, as you can see her human brother wanted to play too lol.
Sorry about all the chat in the background. Some silly talk about cats.
Did you make any new friends today?
This is my new friend Bella. She’s been adopted by Bud’s parents. You may remember that my friend and mentor Bud died last year. And I just know Angel Bud is watching over her as she has his lovely temperament.
I enjoy playing with dogs of all ages and sizes, and as I’ve got older I’ve got better at changing my style to suit my play partner. The other day I bumped into my staffie friend Daisy who is a whirlwind of energy. Mummy and daddy thought it was funny that I was on the receiving end of her attentions and I took the more passive role for a change. Usually I’m the relentless one.
The barking you can hear, is her sister Stella who was running around in the background with her lead in her mouth.
Do you tend to take the lead when you play with others?
Mummy and daddy recently bought me a kong safestix, this is mostly because I love retrieving sticks from the pond and mummy worries about me hurting myself. So yesterday when we went down to the pond, we tried it out. And as you can imagine, I wasn’t interested at all. So much so that daddy had to wade into the pond to retrieve it LOL.
Luckily he’d bought his flipflops along just in case. But then lost them in the water.
Thankfully he found a stick to use. See, sticks are the best and multifunctional!
While there I made friends with an Akita called Caine. He’s a rescue and not usually allowed off-lead. He also doesn’t like water. But with a bit of encouragement he took a dip. First of all on-lead with his daddy and later he went in voluntarily by himself.
Caine and I got on so well that they decided to let him off-lead for us to play, and boy did we play! And play and play.
His peeps are really pleased as he rarely gets the chance. And they were particularly happy that when we played chase he didn’t run off and instead followed me back to where they were waiting.
All in all it was a really good day. But it didn’t end well. Mummy said I was stinky and made me have a bath:-(
Do you do anything fun this weekend?
Stay home and play with me instead. Or at least help me put my toys away LOL
