Christmas Pawsome Box

The lovely people over at Pawsome Box sent me a Christmas goodie box. I guess there was a bit of a delay as it only came yesterday, but it meant the Christmas fun has been carried into the New Year. The funniest thing of all is that daddy thought it was a parcel for him hahaha. Better luck next time daddy.

It contains some really cool stuff including a nice sack to put all my new toys in.

I really wanted to play with the santa beard, but daddy was a grinch and said it has to wait for next Christmas. But I’m hoping mummy will let me play with it when he’s not around. For the meantime I squeaked away on the stocking, which was loads of fun.

Thanks so much Pawsome Box for my ‘pawsome’ box 🙂

Pawsome Box provided me with one of their boxes for review, but did not otherwise compensate me for this post. The views and opinions expressed in this post and on this blog are entirely my own.

Giant tug of war

As you know, I love a good game of tug of war, particularly if it’s with my daddy (mummy isn’t enough of a challenge!) So the other day I was surprised when mummy came home with a giant rope, all for me! She thought lazy daddy would like it as it means he can sit in the chair and play with me. Err mummy I’m not sure you’re supposed to encourage his laziness!

But either way, it meant for a great game.

You’ll notice in the above picture that daddy is cheating by using two hands, so I’m having to work extra hard to win!

Do you like to play tug of war?

DIY surgery

After mummy’s recent surgery on my jungle monkey, she decided to branch out and commit some other atrocities on my toys.

I have to admit I love stuffies that squeak. If they don’t squeak then I’m not really interested and because of that, Prince Guinea the 1st had been left un-played with.

So mummy decided to perform some exploratory surgery and give him his very own squeaker. I was dubious, I mean mummy’s sewing skills aren’t exactly, well, good. And typically she made the incision along his back, rather than in a more dignified or hidden position. But at the end of the day, I don’t really care because he squeaks – yay! I had loads of fun squeaking along to the theme-tune of mummy and daddy’s favourite show. Can you guess which one it is?

Do you prefer toys that squeak?

Found!

Have you ever lost your favourite toy? Whether under the bed,  behind the sofa, or in the bushes in the garden? Well, that’s what happened to me. This is a picture of my blue ball from October 2012.

2012-10-11 21.19.50

I’m not a huge fan of balls unless they squeak, which this one did when I first got it. I loved chomping on it over and over again.  Anyway, it went missing for ages and I thought it was gone forever. But then the other week it reappeared from whatever alternate dimension it had got lost in. And since then I’ve been playing with it constantly. It doesn’t squeak and it’s more ‘hole’ than whole lol. But it’s great fun to chew on, and I love it when mummy or daddy chase me for it:-)

Did you ever notice that discovering old toys is almost like getting a new one? That’s how it is for me anyway. I hope it doesn’t get lost again anytime soon.

Have you ever lost and then found one of your toys?

Frankenstein’s Monkey

For Christmas I got this cool monkey toy. He makes the most amazing jungle sound, just like Tarzan!

2014-03-22 10.03.41

But one night I left Tarzan Monkey out on garden patrol during the rain, and because of that mummy insisted on washing him. After that torture he wasn’t the same. He went a bit, well, strange. He no longer made a noise when you squeezed him BUT he started to make his jungle call in the early hours of the morning. At first mummy and daddy thought I was playing with him, but they saw I was sleeping on the floor in their room. Perhaps we had an intruder? No, Tarzan Monkey was just loosing it. After a few days of these random and rather loud late night calls, mummy decided it was time to act.

Yes my friends she gutted him! Oh the horror. :

But she then replaced his faulty speaker with a spare squeaker. Great idea, eh?

He now has a nasty scar but he’s recovered well and is happily living back with my friends in the toy house. And he has a nice new squeak too.

Do you have any Frankenstein toys?

what the fox really says

There’s been lots of debate over what the fox says. If you’ve completely missed this, you can catch up here

So I’ve been doing my own research to find out and this is what I came up with:

Yes I can confirm that foxes squeak:-)

Sock Monkey’s emergency surgery

Poor Sock Monkey is having a hard time of it, he’s been suffering from stress and has lost most of his stuffing. I’ve been very worried about him. DSC_0840As meanie mummy still has loads of work to do, she was content to let him slowly fade away. But luckily Daddy stepped up to the mark and performed emergency surgery. DSC_0842I’m so happy that Sock Monkey is going to survive – thank you Daddy! Sock monkey and I had a nice cuddle to celebrate:-)

DSC_0843

And I checked out his stitches just to make sure they were going to hold up.DSC_0846

I’ve decided to promote daddy to head surgeon in my stuffie A&E!

Have any of your stuffies had surgery lately??

Christmas in July

I joined in on Finn and Sprinkles‘s Christmas in July present swap, or fakemas as I like to call it:-)

As there were only 3 of us participating in the UK, we each passed our gifts to each other, so I sent my pressie off to Mollie and received my gift from Molly the Wally.  Thank you Molly.

Notice there are 4 presents here:

Now there are only 3…

DSC_0370

This is because as mummy went to take the picture *someone* ran off with the veggie croc into the garden. Luckily I caught the perpetrator but as it was already half eaten I figured i might as well finish it off.

DSC_0371

what? wasn’t me!

This is the cute keyring that Molly commissioned from Mollie for me. Thank you both:-) it’s going to look great with mummy’s keys on it.

And this is me with my new toy:-)DSC_0373Thank you so much Molly. And thanks to Finn and Sprinkles for hosting the event:-)

Mean mummy

Mummy spoils all my fun. She stops me from rooting round the rubbish the the park (and just lately there’s been LOADS), she won’t let me chase the neighbourhood cats (sorry bloggy kitty friends but I am a dog afterall) and most recently she’s confiscated some of my favourite toys:-(

I often need to use the ‘little girl’s room’ around 5.30/6am so mummy heads down to let me out (after I’ve stuck my nose in her face to wake her up). Now I tend to leave a few toys in the garden and on some occasions while doing my business I have ‘accidentally’ trodden on some of my squeakier toys which apparently isn’t allowed at that time of the morning.  Especially since one of our neighbours is a bit grumpy. And so she’s them taken away:-(

They are currently on a shelf in the conservatory which is too high for me to reach.

DSC_0345

all my favourite squeaky toys 😦

DSC_0347

to put it in perspective you can just see the top of my chair in the bottom of the photo

Does anyone have any growing powder I can borrow to help me get up there?? Or maybe a pogo stick??

is your mummy mean too??
