My Scarf
Posted: March 27, 2014 Filed under: fur | Tags: alaskan malamute, dog, fur, scarf 87 CommentsYesterday I used a picture of me in a scarf for the Wordless Wednesday bloghop. And you were probably thinking WTD?? It’s (supposed to be) Spring AND you’re a snow dog. Why do you need to wear a scarf? Do you have a cold? Did you shed ALL your fur??

Does this scarf make my ears look big??
No, I’m not sick or chilly.
But you may remember that a while ago mummy had some of my fur spun into wool. Some of it was used to make my mini-me. But mummy gave the rest to nanny and she mixed it with another wool to knit this pawesome scarf!
It’s going to keep mummy nice and warm in the winter. And I’m hoping when it rains it’ll smell of me hehehehe!
How do you keep your peeps warm in the winter?
Sorry for not being around so much the last few days, mummy has had a big deadline at work. But we should be back to normal service soon.
How great! A Misaki-Scarf! I love it. With my thin hair we could make a thimble when we collect my fur for some years :o)
And what a fabulous thimble it would be!
Nothing nicer than the smell of damp dog 😀 Lovely scarf.
my thoughts exactly!
That’s pretty cool, Misaki! Your excess hair has a use! I have to say, you look quite dapper in it x
Thanks so much!
Where did your mumma have your furs spun into wool? Mumma could make a whole doggie from us once a week, but she loves the idea of having a scarf or a sweater made from it! B&B x
There’s a local spinning group and one of the members spun my furs. Maybe there’s a spinning group near you too?
What a cool idea!
I know, right!
Oh Misaki what a SPECIAL scarf that is!!! I’m sure when your Mum gets it wet and it smells like “wet Misaki” it will give her a smile (hopefully everyone else around her will like it too 😉 !!)
Hugs, Sammy
I just know everyone on her train is going to love the Misaki smell 🙂
Who wouldn’t want to smell like a wet dog? Move over Calvin Klein Eternity – Misaki Scent is the next big thing! Brilliant!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I know, right? Maybe I could bottle it 🙂
awesome scarf we gave you an award
retro rover
Oh thanks so much, will pop by soon:-)
That is pretty neat. Maybe those Alaskan sled dogs should wear scarves too when they race? A fashion statement.
Hehehe maybe they should!
Misaki what a beautiful scarf made of your furs by the loving hands of nanny. It is sure to keep your mum warm.
Hugs
Madi your bfff
Thanks so much Madi xx
You certainly looks happy Misaki. It’s a smart scarf. Have a great day.
thanks so much!
BOL funny we can just picture mum in the rain smelling of wet dog. Good luck to mum with her dead-lion as Frankie would say. Have a tremendous Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
I know right, she’ll smell amazing!
that is the MOST FANTASTIC idea ever!
I know, right!:-)
Aww Misaki that is so flattering. And you look just regal in your scarf!
Thanks so much xx
That looks great, Misaki!
Thanks Clowie 🙂
Do you have to spray it with flea and tick medicine?
That’s a good point, maybe!
awesome Misaki!! That is so cool. You are going to be so warm. I still keep warm by dragging my king size Egyptian cotton sheet around the Hotel Thompson and using it. Snorts. XOXO – Bacon
Oh that’s so sweet
Wow, that’s pretty pawesome! A real Misaki scarf!
I know, isn’t it cool!
NO…. the scarf does NOT make your ears look big at all.
We love that your mum will be kept WARM by you… even when you aren’t with her in pawson.
You guys are so sweet
Now that is pretty crafty! Put that shedding to good use. Eko’s hair could probably knit a scarf for an ant or two, but not much more.
But I bet the ants would appreciate it!
I am so jealous you are able to do that with Misaki’s fur it is fabulous 🙂
Maybe you could make a moggie scarf??
Very cool, your mummy has got some taste.
thanks so much
That is so pawesome Misaki! Mama needs to find a weaver/spinner here so she can have a scarf made of me and Nalle! Woooooowooooooooo!
she should! Look out for local spinning groups, that’s how we did it
Adorable!
thanks so much
Very Nice Misaki,it is so you!xx Speedy
thanks so much Speedy!
Wow, your very own Misaki scarf. Mummy says that Me and Nellie seem to produce enough fur to make our very own coats, if she could find someone with the skills to make some. We think your mummy ought to be honoured to wear her very own Misaki scarf. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two betest maremmas in all the land.
You should definitely get your furs spun, I’m sure your mummy would love a nellie and jasper scarf
arwooo! What a pawsome idea! Mom Linda says she could have opened a shop with the 3 Sibes fur blowin’ in the wind every year MOL!!Looks great Misaki and we definitely wanna know if it smells like you when it gets wet…heh…heh
hehehe, she’s going to smell divine and I’m sure everyone on her train will agree BOL
Very special scarf for your Mom!
I think so 🙂
Yikes I can smell wet dog LOL… Thank goodness we are meeting in May LOL.. Love it 🙂 xxoxxxx
Mollie and Alfie
it might rain in May….just saying!
What an excellent idea! You look rather regal in the scarf. Do you think other dogs will want to sniff your mom when she wears the scarf??
That’s a good point, they probably will!
Fabulous scarf and fabulous use of a natural resource!!! Your Mom and Nanny are pawsome!
Thanks so much!
Oh wow! That’s absolutely amazing, no wonder you look so proud in your photgraph! I bet Mummy isn’t in such a hurry for the cold weather to be over yet either. Love it!
Hugs, Carrie (Myfie, Ellie and Millie) x
typically I heard it’s going to be really warm this weekend, but I’m sure it’ll get cold again soon enough
We thought that’s what the special thing about your scarf might be. Very cool way to keep your Mum warm:0
Woos – Phantom, Ciara, and Lightning
I thought you guys would guess 🙂
Oh Misaki mom wants to do that with Oskar’s fur that she saved before he went over the bridge. She is having a hard time finding someone here in the states to spin it. If you hear of anyone please drop mom a line.
Thanks
Marty
Look out for local spinning groups, ours had a stall at a local fete, and nanny got talking to one of the members.
What a cool scarf! And Grady needs a good comb out. I wish there was someone here that could spin his. I’m sure there’s enough for a full suit, a coat and mittens.
Hehehe, you should definitely get it spun!
That is an extra special scarf! A Misaki one of a kind!
This is true!
Gawgeous
Lily & Edward
thanks so much!
Well, that is just cooler than cool! My Mom Person wears a bit of me wherever she goes, but it’s not knitted all together.
Aww that’s so sweet 🙂
That scarf is really cool Misaki!
Thanks so much!
It is most FABulous gurl!! And, NO, it does not make your ears look big…your ears make your ears look big!!! BOL!!!! OMD, just kiddin’…that’s what my Ma says to me…sorry. Will a cookie make up for it?? I have an extra cookie…
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Hehehe, you calling me big ears LOL:-)
You looks like you enjoy it a lot 😉
You look MAR-VE-LOUS in the scarf. And, no, it doesn’t make your ears look big. Love your “model pout”, too.
You look so bewooooooootiful in your scarf, it’s making our hearts go all a-flutter!
