SW: Scary Forest

I’ve had a lovely weekend with my Auntie Els and Uncle Lee. I got loads of cuddles and nommy treats:-)

After they left, I took mummy and daddy for a walk in the forest. As we were driving to the part we’d planned to go to, we saw another section that looked like a good spot. It was called Wintry Wood and its part of Epping Forest.

As it’s been raining there was loads of good smells to sniff, but it was also a freaky place to walk. There were no birds, squirrels or other walkers, so it was eerily quiet and I got spooked a few times by a Sasquatch something only I could see and hear.

At the other side of the forest there was a small clearing with some lovely long grass. Unfortunately it was close to the road and as I’d been so wary because of the Sasquatch mummy and daddy didn’t let me off-lead. Instead mummy ran through the grass with me. After a minute she said she was exhausted because of the extra exertion of having to jump through the grass – yeah right mummy!

Because of the weather mummy didn’t take the big camera, so she used her little point and shoot instead, but the battery was low and it doesn’t have the special Misaki-action shot feature the big one was has, so many of the photos were blurry *sigh*. But here are a few.

Did you have a nice walk today?

  14. Mom and I walked pretty far today, now that her shiny new knee is working so well. We stayed mostly on the sidewalk in out apartment complex, so it wasn’t adventurous, but we saw a few dog friends along the way, so I got to say hi. Keep away from that Sasquatch forest, M.

    Love and licks,
    Cupcake

  15. I would have been a bit frightened of the Sas .. thingy too!! But it’s very picturesque where you live 🙂 xx

  16. stanze says:

Looks like a very nice place, except of course for the sasquatch. But if your mummy could take a photo of the sasquatch that would be a sensation. Might be a good idea to catch the sasquatch and bring it to her.

  17. Sounds like a great place and you had a good time all around. wag wag, Max & Bella

  18. PAWSOME!! You looks good to me!!! And, looks like you had a FABulous time!

Misaki those woods do look a bit eerie…I don’t think you have Sasquatches…but best to be safe!!! No walkies for us here. I have been cleaning & working on blog & emails all day & Nylablue has been having back to back naps after the PAWTY!! She kind of staggers out of bedroom to eat & then goes back to bed, hahahaha!
Lots of love & sunshine from Sherri-Ellen & ‘groggy’ Nylablue xoxo

  20. Oh Misaki…your mummy’s point and shoot did a really good job of catching you in action on your walk. That forest looks like a great place to run, and jump and smell!

  28. Looks like fun! Soon we won’t be allowed outside at all because it will be too cold 😦 oh well, we will run around inside instead!

  29. Dianda says:

One of the reasons I want a dog again (I grew up with dogs) is that I miss the walking and the fun! I could walk on my own, but it’s not that fun!
