Keeping cool

We’re in the middle of  a heat wave in the UK and the weather reports suggest that the hot weather is here to stay. Keeping cool is a big issue for us doggies. I’ve seen loads of posts about how to combat the heat. So I thought I’d join in and share this infographic from

Keep cool everyone!

  5. I’ll start doing the bandana thing with Doggy.
I worry about this a lot, I take him for long runs, I make sure to give him plenty of water and to splash water on his belly and chest.
At home he’s the owner of the fan.

We are rocking the kiddie pool here. Hope you are able to keep cool too!

  7. I leave my crib only for short pee patrols and we take a walk in the early morning or by night (wow! that’s thrilling!) The bandana sounds like a really good idea. Thanks Misaki

  8. Although it’s the middle of winter here so we’re all snuggled up on mumma’s bed, she read a good tip last summer: wet an old tshirt & put it in the fridge then when it’s nice & cold put it on your dog!

  9. Great info, thanks for sharing it! We’re busy trying to stay cool ourselves!

What’s the temperature there? please use Celsius 🙂

  11. Thank you for taking care of us, Misaki. We wuv U, Max & Bella ps. with our black coats this is even more important for our biped to see.

  12. Great advice Misaki! Wooooowoooooo, Ku

Heck you guys might as well be living in Florida with all the heat you’ve been having…I bet it’s tough on you Misaki with all your furs…This is some good information you shared today

  15. Great infographic – worthy of sharing – so I will if you don’t mind.

  16. we can never stop informing bipeds about this very impawtant danger to animal well being. Amazing to still see so many bipeds leave their dogs in cars with cracked windows…thinking it is just fine for a “few minutes” on a day that is over 80F….seriously…Mom and Dad find the owners OR call animal control (and these bipeds are known to leave their little kids as well…shameful all the way around IMHO)

    • Misaki says:

One of mummy’s friends told her it would be ok for me to stay in the car with the windows cracked, she couldn’t believe it!! It seems so many people really do think its ok

  17. Oh dear! I loves the tips on stayin’ cool! It’s gonna be gettin’ HOT this week too. It’s lovely today…just 73 degrees f !! It’s like fall! In a couple of days it’s gonna be 96. pfffft!
Stay cool gurl, and go have a swim in the lake!
    Ruby ♥

This is so impawtant, Misaki. You are a furry good girl for sharing it. I think we kitties do a better job of keeping ourselves cooled off than the woofies do. Maybe we sweat better??? Plus, we don’t go off riding in stoopy CARS–those metal boxes from hell that seem only to know the way to the Stabby Place. ::shudder::

  19. snoopys@snoopysdogblog says:
