What’s wrong with this picture??

When I went to my nanny and grampy’s at the weekend, I met this fella:

Do you think they are trying to replace me??

Advice Needed

The anticipation (VBP) and excitement is rising with the thought of  Mollie and Ranger’s Valentine’s Ball and then the circus coming to Blogville. I just want to fast forward through the next couple of weeks! It’s going to be super fun!

As you know I’m going to the ball with Gizmo, which I’m ecstatic (VBP) about.

funny photo effects

But I think I need some advice on how to behave. As you know I’m a bit of a tomboy. I like to wrestle, get muddy and sporadically (VBP) roll in fox poo. Mummy says I need to be more ladylike, that I’ll have to have a bath (eeekk!) and make sure I don’t eat anything smelly like horse poo before the ball. But is there anything else I should or shouldn’t do on my date? I don’t want to scare him off. Your advice is welcome!

If you have any thoughts please let me know, I’m planning to make myself a list so I can make sure I don’t put a paw wrong at the ball!

Thanks to Savannah, Jet and Texas for starting the Vocab Building blog hop. I hope you’ll join in too!

A walk by the river

Keeping with our Sunday walk tradition, yesterday I took mummy and daddy for a walk by the river. We’ve had quite a bit of rain so the ice has all washed away, that means the ground is very wet and in places the river has burst its banks. It was still fun though. And I had a great time playing in the long grass, daddy said I was like a grass shark BOL.

I love my Sunday walks. I wonder where we’ll go next week?

The nose knows!

My uncle Andrew came over yesterday and I KNEW he had something yummy in his pocket. But he denied it. I keep getting a waft of something delish and I was drooling from the smell radiating off him. I had to wait AGES before he finally remembered that my Grampy had given him a treat to give to me and he’d put it in his pocket. Silly humans. I knew all along it was there! My nose can smell a treat in a 5 mile radius:-)

To celebrate the amazingness of my nose, the very talented Sheila Wedegis has immortalised it in oil for part of her painting challenge 🙂 How cool is that?

She’ll do yours too, you just have to send her a photo. Check out her blog for more details.

Smell you later!

Monster Attack!

The most terrifying thing happened. A monster broke into the house!!

But luckily I was around to deal with him and he wasn’t on the loose for long!

Phew! Wouldn’t want him hiding under the bed!

Weather warnings and haggis

Everyday this week the weather report has changed. Earlier in the week there were severe weather warnings reported for this weekend and we were told that there would be more snow today, but here in Essex it looks like the most we might get is rain:-( Mummy is happy about this as our snow has mostly turned to ice and she’s slipping all over the place on our walks and whingeing loads. Sigh. Humans – can’t live with them, can get bellyrubs and treats with out them! Personally I’m hoping for more snow – but I guess you’re not surprised by that!

She did however help me with my facebook page so I guess I forgive her for moaning so much BOL. BTW thanks everyone for ‘liking’ me:-)

Me and mummy having a little cuddle

Whether we get snow or not, today is also Burns night, and although we’re not Scottish, we celebrate anyway – you’re probably starting to realise that we jump on the bandwagon for most festivities! Apparently we get to eat haggis – or at least they do, but I’m hoping to try some:-)

Will you be having haggis for dinner?

Playing catch-up

Oh dear, with all my playing in the snow I haven’t had a chance to visit all of your bloggies, but I hope to get round to see you all soon!

Meanwhile, Mollie has made this pawesome Mousemat of me – how cute is that! She can make one of you too, just drop her a line.

My new friends and Purrime Ministerettes Shiva and Jaya are hosting Question Time on the 1st Feb and I need to think of some impawtant questions to ask them…perhaps I should ask when it’s next likely to snow?? If you think of any good ones, do drop them a line.

And the other thing is I’ve finally joined facebook! Which means I no longer have to use mummy’s account (she’s just jealous cos I have more friends than her BOL). Anyway, you can find me at: http://www.facebook.com/TheMisadventuresOfMisaki  It’s a little bit bare atm but will add some more content soon. I’ll try to sort out a widget-thingy as well to link to it from my bloggy.

Have a great Thursday all!

Award Tuesday

I thought that by now you’re probably bored of me waffling on about the wonderfulness of snow, so instead I thought I’d catch up on some awards.

Speedy and Kevin have both given me the lovely Sisterhood award – thank you both:-)

Princess Zena has very kindly awarded me the Liebster Blog Award – thank you Princess!

Apparently with this award there are a few different things to do:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Share five things about yourself
3. Answer five questions presented by Zena
4. Ask five new questions to your nominated bloggers
5. Reveal your top five picks {with less than 200 readers} and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
6. Copy and paste the award on your blog
7. Hope that the people you’ve sent the award to forward it to their five favorite up-and-coming bloggers and keep it going!

I have to share five things about myself. But what don’t you already know?

  1. When I need to go out in the middle of the night, I only wake mummy up never daddy
  2. I am an excellent kitchen helper and am good at cleaning up spills etc
  3. I like to lick body and face creams when someone (usually mummy) has used them, Sudocream (which she uses for her eczema) is my favourite:-)
  4. I find it difficult to settle when people move around alot and have to follow them to find out what they’re doing
  5. When I’m tired my eyes get puffy

Now I have to answer the five questions with Zena proposed:

1. What is the naughtiest thing you have ever been caught doing?
Stealing mummy and daddy’s dinner!! But daddy left it on the kitchen counter so I think it was fair game.

2. What is the one thing you would change about yourself?
I’d have springs for legs so I can  jump up to the top of the freezer where my treat box lives:-)

3. What would your ideal holiday look like?
Miles and miles of snow:-)

4. What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?
Walk along the main road when I was little. I was pretty scared by the traffic.

5. If you could go back and change anything in the past what would it be?
I’d prevent me from ever having to have baths:-)

My questions for my nominees are:

  1. What is your favorite thing about yourself?
  2. Where is your favorite place to be besides home?
  3. What do you think your perfect job would be?
  4. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
  5. What is the worst gift you ever received?

I’ve lost track of who’s got this, so I’m going to give this to:

Shiva and Jaya

Oakley Bear

Little Miss Jackie

I’d also like to give all my friends the special SNOWBALL FIGHT award I’ve made to celebrate how ridiculously happy I’ve been the last few days:-)
