Howl at the … ice cream van

As I rarely bark and haven’t howled since I was forced to sleep downstairs when I first came to live with them, they struggled to believe it. Until yesterday.
While daddy was chilling upstairs, and I was snoozing in the garden, the ice cream van came round. And because I LOVE ice cream, I gave out my best wolfie howl to alert everyone in the street and most importantly, my daddy, so that he would go and get me some nommy ice cream!
AWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
But daddy was so shocked by my vocal outburst that instead of rushing out the door like he was supposed to, he called down to me to ask if I was OK and DIDN’T get me any ice cream!!! Humans are useless! What a waste of a good howl. He didn’t even record it:-(
So instead here’s a picture of me curled up on the sofa.
Happy Friday everyone! If the ice cream man turns up in your street, give him a good howl from me and maybe you’ll get the ice cream that I should’ve had:-)

He’s extremely unlikely to turn up here. But, if he does, I’ll howl. I rarely howl, so I may be out of practice – I’ll follow up with a good bark.

I don’t know how to howl, but I think it would come in handy for a lot of occasions. Mom makes me special ice cream pops with a dog treat for a handle. Yum.

I am a howler too! I bark sometimes but usually I just howl and our neighbors have heard me howling when my mom is gone too – I guess we have something in common. Bummer you did not get any ice cream!

There’s a Husky who lives next door to us who howls when police cars and ambulances go past. It used rto scare us, but we’re used to it now 😀

Sheesh, Misaki – some reward that was for giving your Dad a good howl!!! We have all been known to let out a good song when the tornado sirens go of for testing days. Come to think of it, we don’t get any reward for that either.

Miss D is jealous! The ice cream man rarely comes our way. So we make do with howling at the firemen, motorcycles, neighbor dogs, thunder, the wind…

I bet it was a very fine howl and I regret that it did not get you any ice cream. If the ice cream truck was playing music we would howl as a pack.
It was playing music! It was really loud and distorted – almost asking me to howl along!
I would have loved to have heard that howl Misaki! All but one of my crew howl each day when the train passes and blows its horn… oh what sweet music to my ears!

I’m not big into howling, but my buddy Cosmo next door likes to howl at the sirens and one day when I was staying with him I decided to join in, the two of us were howling on the raised deck, it was like we were in concert – it was fun!! 🙂
