Go Team GB!!!

We may have been a bit lackluster in the lead-up, but Olympic fever has hit the UK big time!
So much so that this morning while mummy was sitting at her desk wishing she was home playing with me, her MD suggested that the whole office go and see the Triathlon taking place in Hyde Park!! So they dropped everything they were doing and off they trotted to cheer on Team GB.

Admittedly there were thousands of other spectators and being that she’s rather short, she found it difficult to get a decent view, but they found a spot near the serpentine and she was able to see some the race and most of all, the Brownlee brothers crossing the finishing line winning both Gold and Bronze medals! Go team GB!!

I plan to spend the afternoon curled up with daddy watching the table tennis. Hope you’re all enjoying the olympics too!!

  3. YAY! Good for Team GB! I bet that was very exciting for your Mummy to be RIGHT THERE watching. Enjoy the table tennis with your Dad – it’s fun to watch – I love all that ACTION – it sure keeps my attention anyway.

Wow, amazing! I was down there watching too but I didn’t see your Mummy. It sounds like she got a very good view and saw them crossing the finish line, fantastic! I saw mainly the tops of people’s heads but the atmosphere was great 🙂 Enjoy your afternoon with Daddy and the table tennis. x

  8. Well, Rupie and I watched the triathlon on TV – we are a little far away to pop over to Hyde Park (we’re in Australia!) and yes, it is completely the wrong time of day for us – everything happens while we’re sleeping! As much as it pains me to say, congrats to Team GB – they have done so well (my parents are British so I’m allowed to say it!). But, we won a couple of big golds last night too – one was against one of your big stars I believe! Nothing wrong with a bit of colonial competition!

You are so lucky! The games have been awesome this time. Go London!!! UK has had lots of impressive medals, too. Always great to see the athletes win in front of the home crowd.

  10. That’s awesome, I’m sure your Mum’s cheering helped them earn their medals!!

My Mum is upset as she’s not getting to see much here in America, they just show it in the evening and then it’s mostly the US teams and she would also like to see her team GB – sigh!!

Glad you’re getting to see it for real 🙂

Wags to all and cheer them on for us 🙂

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

    • Quick!! Jump on a plane and come and watch the last few days with us:-)

But don’t worry, we’ll be cheering extra loud, especially the men’s 800m tomorrow. Our runner is from my home-town:-)

Glad to hear you’re enjoying it too. You might be able to see some of the Brit highlights on iplayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/

  12. don’t ya just luvluvluv the Olympics!!! It means our staff spend a lot of time being still in front of the TV! Of course, they yell and shout a lot…but they are still right there where we can have them with us…nice! paw pats, Savannah
