Thank dog its friday:-)

This week has been all about duck chasing! The other day I was playing in the stream and one flew past my nose, I would’ve caught it too if it weren’t for mummy pulling me back:-( This is a terrible photo but the ducks flew to safety on the other side of the stream and I sat watching them.

Ever since I’ve been in duck hunting mode, so watch out duckies I’m coming to get you!

I need to send out a massive thank you to Flea for sending me some of her delicious Jones Natural chews. Daddy picked the box up from the post office and it was packed with goodies! Check this out:

How AMAZING is that!! mummy tried to take some photos but failed miserably, this is probably the best of the bunch BOL:2013-05-01 21.47.31

Thank you so much Flea!!!

Thanks also for all the lovely comments about my new header. My uncle Andrew designed it for me, isn’t it cool? He’s a freelance designer and has recently started his own blog which is http://andrewgibbonsdesign.blogspot.co.uk/ he likes to talk about music t-shirts. Feel free to stop by and say hello, or perhaps you’d like to ask him to design you a header too…hint hint :-)

Have a great friday all, and if you’re in the UK, enjoy the bank holiday weekend!

Fetch? I don’t think so…

I’m not a fetch dog. I may chase a ball or stick, but I’ll only bring it back if I want to. The way I see it, if they wanted it so badly then they shouldn’t have thrown it away – right? This infuriates daddy endlessly hehehehe. Mummy videoed some of my least cooperative moments for your viewing pleasure:

Do you fetch?

And the winner is …

Before announcing the winner I need to make a quick apology. The poll was supposed to close at 10pm last night, but fate intervened and decided to strike down our internet connection. Even Daddy’s loud and explosive cursing could not fix it which meant I couldn’t close the poll till this morning. The last time I checked Mollie and Doggy were neck and neck, but between then and now a few sneaky votes crept in and there was a clear winner, who is…

Mollie patron saint

Congrats Mollie!

However, because the battle was so fierce and had I been able to close the poll when I’d intended the story may have been a bit different, I’m going to offer Doggy a runner’s up prize:

Doggy patron saint

I’ll drop you both a line shortly to organise your prizes.

In the meantime thank you to everyone who took part whether submitting photos or voting. If you would like to know the final scores, you can see them here

Park Day

parkday1_thumbI’m joining in with Gizmo’s Park Day event today! I love going to the park so I thought I’d share some of my favourite pics from a few different park trips.

We’re really lucky as our local park is just round the corner from us and I know I’m biased, but its really cool:-) Its pretty big and as well as the usual stuff, it has a duck pond, a stream and pet’s corner which is where the sheep and other animals live. It also connects to the river via an underpass and bridge so covers all bases really -who could ask for more:-)

Did you go to the park today?

WordPress family award

The lovely Wiley’s Wisdom has passed me the WordPress Family award. How sweet is that!

wordpress-family-award

This is an award to celebrate those other WordPress bloggers who inspire, help and encourage us – just like a family does:-)

2. Link back to the person who nominated you – thank you Wiley.

3. Nominate 10 others you see as having an impact on your WordPress experience and family

4. Let your 10 Family members know you have awarded them

5. That is it. Just please pick 10 people who have taken you as  a friend, and spread the love

I was going to cop out and offer this to everyone, but usually people are too nice/shy to take it. So I will nominate 10 people and hope you pass it round. I’m going to give this to:

St George’s day contest

Today is St George’s day, he’s England’s patron saint because he killed a dragon.

george

I’ve never killed a dragon, but I did kill a monster a while back. I wasn’t made a Saint even though he was a massive threat to the safety of my peeps. In fact, they didn’t seem very impressed at all. I’m pretty sure some of you have also been unappreciated for such noble and selfless acts of homeland security, right?

So I’ve decided to right this wrong. I’m having a contest to find the bravest furry around and will make them the Patron Saint of Blogville!

To enter, just send a photo of you defeating an evil foe, whether its a stuffie, a cushion, plastic bottle or even a toilet roll!  Email your pics to me at misadventuresofmisaki@yahoo.co.uk by Saturday 27th and the voting will start on Monday 29th.

Everyone can enter no matter what kind of furry you are or where you live. They’ll be a prize for the winner along with the coveted title of Patron Saint of Blogville.

Can’t wait to see your entries!

Tangled

Yesterday I met up with my friend Lady and we had a lovely walk together. It was quite warm, around 20°c, which is the hottest its been so far this year. But luckily there were plenty of places we could take a dip to cool down.

As well as splashing around in the pond and the river, we chased a pheasant but mummy failed to take a photo – I seriously need a new photographer!

But most of all we got good and tangled several times hehehehe! That’s definitely one of the best parts of being on long leads:-)
