Its Raffle Time!

1st prize – a £50 (or $ equivalent) Amazon voucher donated by My Three Moggies
2nd prize – A cartooned Mouse Pad of your pet from Mollie and Alfie
Tickets cost $2 each or $9 dollars for 5 (All proceeds are going directly to Savannah for the vet bills of Leo. Please see yesterdays post for details)

Tangled

It was quite warm, around 20°c, which is the hottest its been so far this year. But luckily there were plenty of places we could take a dip to cool down.
As well as splashing around in the pond and the river, we chased a pheasant but mummy failed to take a photo – I seriously need a new photographer!
But most of all we got good and tangled several times hehehehe! That’s definitely one of the best parts of being on long leads:-)
Playdate

He’s a chew toy Chihuahua. Mummy wasn’t sure how it would go and said I had to be on my bestest behaviour. Mostly because Toby doesn’t socialise with other dogs much and also because he barks ALOT. And as I rarely bark, sometimes I get freaked out by vocal dogs.

But overall it went well, we didn’t actual wrestle, although I would’ve liked to, but I did show him round my park and introduced him to a few friends.

Afterwards they came back to ours for a bit. Mummy said I was good for not making a fuss about letting him in. He growled at me a few times but mummy said not to take it personally, he was obviously a bit nervous. And I didn’t mistake him for a toy, so all went well:-)
Although it was fun, I’m meeting up with my friend Lady tomorrow for a proper romp about:-)
Windy Thursday

And that’s the one type of weather mummy hates walking me in. When I was little and unimpressed about walkies (before I met Bud) mummy tried to take me out on a windy day and I refused. I sat by the front door and wouldn’t budge!
But nowadays I just get super-hyper in the wind. Mummy always thought this was because I was scared, until Dogdaz pointed out that the wind stirs up all the different scents and that’s what’s making me so excited. Duh, mummy!
This morning was no different. I went crazy when I saw Bud. But as he’s 10 now, and not into playing I found a stick to chew instead. While I was in this unladylike pose, Bud took a sneaky butt sniff – how cheeky is that! Mummy didn’t quite catch the moment but you can get the idea from this pic.
I guess its a good thing it was the weather that was windy and not me, or Bud would’ve got a surprise BOL.

What to wear??

Mollie always throws the best parties so I’m really looking forward to it. But I have no idea what to go as:-( I’ve been trying out a few costumes, but can’t decide. What do you think?
Someone who will remain nameless suggested I go as a nun. But I’m not sure this look is ‘me’.
Maybe I should go as a super hero?? Wonder Misaki sounds pretty good…:-)
Or maybe I should go as my buddy Speedy? It is near Easter afterall!

Pancake party

While waiting for everyone to arrive I made a start with the mixture.
Alfie was supposed to drive Mollie, but he went out, so she had to catch the bus instead
Sammy flew in on a hot air balloon
Gizmo arrived in style
And Speedy hopped all the way!

After a quick bath, clean up and a new batch of mixture made, finally we had pancakes:-)

Back to class
Posted: January 10, 2013 Filed under: friends, training | Tags: alaskan malamute, class, dog training, friends, play, puppy 75 Comments »For some unknown reason, the street lights in the park have been switched off for that past few weeks. This means that even with the cool headtorch I bought mummy, it’s still crazy-dark in the mornings and evenings too. Instead we’ve been sticking to the cycle paths for our walks – boring! There are no other regular dog walkers when we go so I haven’t had a chance to make any new friends. And when I do get to go to the park on my afternoon walk with daddy, none of my park friends have been about. So I’ve been feeling pretty lonely of late.
I was soooo happy when I realised training class started up again last night. My humans have started to fall into bad habits and could do with a brush-up on their heel walking, plus I got to see my friends again woohoo!!
Although Lady wasn’t there I did manage to have a little play with my buddy Ezio, he’s like Easy’s little bro:

I’m so happy to be back at class! Can’t wait till saturday so I can see my friends again:-)
