And the winner is …

Before announcing the winner I need to make a quick apology. The poll was supposed to close at 10pm last night, but fate intervened and decided to strike down our internet connection. Even Daddy’s loud and explosive cursing could not fix it which meant I couldn’t close the poll till this morning. The last time I checked Mollie and Doggy were neck and neck, but between then and now a few sneaky votes crept in and there was a clear winner, who is…

Mollie patron saint

Congrats Mollie!

However, because the battle was so fierce and had I been able to close the poll when I’d intended the story may have been a bit different, I’m going to offer Doggy a runner’s up prize:

Doggy patron saint

I’ll drop you both a line shortly to organise your prizes.

In the meantime thank you to everyone who took part whether submitting photos or voting. If you would like to know the final scores, you can see them here

Last call for votes!

Both Mollie and Doggy have been campaigning relentlessly for the title, but do you think one of them should win? Perhaps there’s an underdog/cat/turtle who deserves the title more? Its entirely up to you.

You have until 10pm tonight (UK time) to decide so choose wisely and most of all, don’t forget to vote!

St George’s day contest

Today is St George’s day, he’s England’s patron saint because he killed a dragon.

george

I’ve never killed a dragon, but I did kill a monster a while back. I wasn’t made a Saint even though he was a massive threat to the safety of my peeps. In fact, they didn’t seem very impressed at all. I’m pretty sure some of you have also been unappreciated for such noble and selfless acts of homeland security, right?

So I’ve decided to right this wrong. I’m having a contest to find the bravest furry around and will make them the Patron Saint of Blogville!

To enter, just send a photo of you defeating an evil foe, whether its a stuffie, a cushion, plastic bottle or even a toilet roll!  Email your pics to me at misadventuresofmisaki@yahoo.co.uk by Saturday 27th and the voting will start on Monday 29th.

Everyone can enter no matter what kind of furry you are or where you live. They’ll be a prize for the winner along with the coveted title of Patron Saint of Blogville.

Can’t wait to see your entries!

Home again

Mummy and daddy are finally home. While they were away I had a lovely time with nanny and grampy, and was sad to see them go.  After they went I sat for ages by the window waiting for them to come back.

That is until mummy showed me that I had some post from my good friends the Hutch a Good life piggies! I won their Easter poem competition. I got some lovely things:

Thank you piggies:-)

Wasn’t me!

Uh oh! Those naughty sneaky birds have been up to their old tricks again. Look what’s happened to mummy’s pansies:

Mummy seemed to think I was to blame!! How rude is that! I was way too busy with my new pal to do any gardening. He came all the way from the US!

DSC_0431Yep, I was having far too much fun with this guy to bother with mummy’s silly plants.

My sock monkey was from Sammy! He was part of my prize for winning the campfire poem contest. Thank you Sammy, me and sock monkey are besties:-) This is what else came in my parcel:

How cool is that!

Thankful Thursday

I love getting post, and the other day I received THREE parcels – how cool is that! One was the nip mat I ordered from Mollie for my kitty cousin Daisy.

But the other two were lovely things for me:-) First of all my runner’s up prize from Speedy, isn’t it pretty!

Thank you Speedy!

And if that wasn’t all, I got my prize from Something Wagging, I won the Pukka’s Promise contest!

Thank you, I’m looking forward to reading it:-)

I just hope that Daisy likes her mat, I’m seeing her at the weekend so will find out then. If she doesn’t like it then I think I’ll keep it myself:-) If you want a nip mat don’t forget to check out Mollie‘s store, she’s got some pretty cool stuff for sale!

Hoorag fun

Daddy has 3 weeks off work, how cool is that! While he’s home we are going to practice me running alongside his bike. This is something he wants us to do more of as I get bigger. We’ve only taken a few slow rides so far and I haven’t quite got the hang of riding by his side, I’d much rather lead hehehe:-)

The other good thing is that he’s free to pick me up from Camp so at least I don’t have to walk ALL the way home! Btw don’t forget to pop by Sammy‘s and vote for your favourite tent and for the scary poem contest.

In the meantime, thank you to Pawistively Pets for my Hoorag! I won their competition a couple of weeks ago. So thought I would try it out:

Hoorags are pretty versatile, and you can wear them in a number of ways but I preferred the classic look. Mummy tried to turn me into a pirate, but I ended up looking like I had no ears BOL.

Really mummy? not sure this look is ‘me’

Have a great day everyone!

Patriotic pet competition

My daddy is half french but when it comes to rugby he suddenly becomes ALL french and it drives mummy bananas.

She was pretty excited to find out about GoCompare‘s Patriotic Pet competition which asks for you to tweet them a picture of your pet supporting their favourite Six Nations rugby team or country. The most patriotic pet wins a £500 gift card from Pets at Home. Sounds pawesome, right? But as you can imagine, it’s left me looking like this:

I feel pretty confused right now: I’m from Alaska and I live in the UK, but I’m supporting the french rugby team? I think I need therapy BOL.

Anyway, if you live in the UK you should enter this too, after all £500 buys a lot of kibble! For more info click the image below. Looking forward to seeing your entries!

In other news, the lovely Spitty has passed me the Friendly Blogger Award. Thank you Spitty :-)
