WordPress family award

The lovely Wiley’s Wisdom has passed me the WordPress Family award. How sweet is that!

wordpress-family-award

This is an award to celebrate those other WordPress bloggers who inspire, help and encourage us – just like a family does:-)

Rules:

1. Display the award logo on your blog – done.

2. Link back to the person who nominated you – thank you Wiley.

3. Nominate 10 others you see as having an impact on your WordPress experience and family

4. Let your 10 Family members know you have awarded them

5. That is it. Just please pick 10 people who have taken you as  a friend, and spread the love

I was going to cop out and offer this to everyone, but usually people are too nice/shy to take it. So I will nominate 10 people and hope you pass it round. I’m going to give this to:

Mollie

Gizmo

Scienerf

Sammy

Dogdaz

Peace, Love and Whiskers

Coming Home Rescue

Life Embarked

Wayward Dogs

Long Life Cats and Dogs

If you don’t already read their blogs please do pop by and say hello!

Why I Love Thee

Look what we’ve got:-)

More on that later.

In the meantime, lovely Sammy has passed me the Why I Love Thee award – isn’t it pretty. Thank you Sammy!

why-i-love-thee-awardThe rules

  1. thank the friend who passed the award to you – thank you Sammy!
  2. If you’re a pet you tell everyone why you love your human/biped/peep/human…..and if you’re a human getting the award you tell why you love your pet!
  3. Last but not least, you pass the award to more blog buddies (at least one but no limit on number).

Why I love thee

I love my mummy and Daddy cos they love me and take care of me. Daddy is silly and makes me laugh. He wrestles with me on the floor and blows raspberries on my belly. Mummy gets up with me in the middle of the night and makes sure I get an early morning walk before she goes to work, no matter the weather. Between them they do a pretty good job – although there’s always room for more noms:-)

I’d like to pass this on to:

Gizmo

Easy

Stuart

Long Life Cats and Dogs

If you don’t already read their bloggies, please do stop by and say hello.

Don’t forget to pop over to Mollie‘s to check out everyone attending the ball!

It’s Shrove Tuesday tomorrow and I hope you’ll pop by tomorrow to join me for some pancakes!!

Award Tuesday

I thought that by now you’re probably bored of me waffling on about the wonderfulness of snow, so instead I thought I’d catch up on some awards.

Speedy and Kevin have both given me the lovely Sisterhood award – thank you both:-)

sisterhood-of-world-bloggers-award

Princess Zena has very kindly awarded me the Liebster Blog Award – thank you Princess!

liebster

Apparently with this award there are a few different things to do:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Share five things about yourself
3. Answer five questions presented by Zena
4. Ask five new questions to your nominated bloggers
5. Reveal your top five picks {with less than 200 readers} and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog
6. Copy and paste the award on your blog
7. Hope that the people you’ve sent the award to forward it to their five favorite up-and-coming bloggers and keep it going!

I have to share five things about myself. But what don’t you already know?

  1. When I need to go out in the middle of the night, I only wake mummy up never daddy
  2. I am an excellent kitchen helper and am good at cleaning up spills etc
  3. I like to lick body and face creams when someone (usually mummy) has used them, Sudocream (which she uses for her eczema) is my favourite:-)
  4. I find it difficult to settle when people move around alot and have to follow them to find out what they’re doing
  5. When I’m tired my eyes get puffy

Now I have to answer the five questions with Zena proposed:

1. What is the naughtiest thing you have ever been caught doing?
Stealing mummy and daddy’s dinner!! But daddy left it on the kitchen counter so I think it was fair game.

2. What is the one thing you would change about yourself?
I’d have springs for legs so I can  jump up to the top of the freezer where my treat box lives:-)

3. What would your ideal holiday look like?
Miles and miles of snow:-)

4. What is the hardest thing you have ever had to do?
Walk along the main road when I was little. I was pretty scared by the traffic.

5. If you could go back and change anything in the past what would it be?
I’d prevent me from ever having to have baths:-)

My questions for my nominees are:

  1. What is your favorite thing about yourself?
  2. Where is your favorite place to be besides home?
  3. What do you think your perfect job would be?
  4. If you could have any super power, what would it be?
  5. What is the worst gift you ever received?

I’ve lost track of who’s got this, so I’m going to give this to:

Shiva and Jaya

Oakley Bear

Ruby

Kevin

Little Miss Jackie

I’d also like to give all my friends the special SNOWBALL FIGHT award I’ve made to celebrate how ridiculously happy I’ve been the last few days:-)

Back to reality

Well looks the promise of our ‘big freeze’ were hugely over-rated and our snow has all gone sadly:-(

As I don’t have any snowdog photos to share, I thought I’d take the opportunity to pass on this lovely award that both those cute little piggies at Hutch a Good Life, Cocco the mini pig AND the very regal princess Zena have given me. Thank you both so much!

reality-blog-award

The rules and instruction for this award are as follows . . .

1) Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.

2) Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and link back to them.

3) Answer the 5 simple questions. (see below)

4) Nominate up to 20 blogs for the award and notify each of them. (see below)

5) Display the award on your blog somewhere.

1) If you could change one thing, what would you change?

Right at this moment I would change the weather so that it snows again:-)

2) If you could repeat an age, what would it be? any year?

Well as I’m only 1 years old I don’t have much to choose from, but it’s been a pretty cool year so I’d happily repeat it. And this time I’d definitely get more treats!

3) What is one thing that really scares you?

The thought of not getting any dinner!

4) What is one dream you have not completed, and do you think you’ll be able to complete it?

I would like to meet some of my bloggy friends in real life. I hope that I can at some point, afterall some of you do live in the UK!

5) If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be?

I would be…Snowy from Tintin, he’s supersmart!

I would like to pass this award to:

Gizmo

Speedy

Scienerf

Cat Forsely

Hailey and Zaphod

Rocco

Spitty

Roxy

Urban Hounds

Stuart

…And anyone else who would like it:-)

The great thing is a few of my friends like Roxy and Dakota feature in the book. It has stunning pictures and my favourite page so far is on Kona who, funnily enough, is a mallie like me:-) He sounds like lots of fun, I think we would be good friends.

In other news, the lovely Spitty has passed me the Friendly Blogger Award. Thank you Spitty :-)

A few thank yous!

2012 was a great year for me: I came to live with mummy and daddy, I started blogging and made loads of friends on and off-line. I hope 2013 is just as good, if not better!

I need to do some housekeeping before 2013 fully gets into gear, so first of all would like to thank to Dogdaz, for the Dogdaz Pick of the Litter Award! Thank you!

I also need to thank Kirby for turning me into a cool cartoon character:

Inca

As you know the other day I had my first birthday and as well as lots of lovely presents and messages, I also got an email from my twin sister Inca! Although I came from a big litter, Inca and I looked the most alike and we were inseparable as pups. But Inca ended up not finding a new home and stayed with our birth mother.

Daddy regrets not bringing Inca home with us, but mummy says she couldn’t have coped with two of us loved Inca as much as me and it wouldn’t have been fair. I guess I can understand that, although there are times I would really love to have a playmate.

I haven’t seen Inca since I left with mummy and daddy, but she sent me this photo of herself chilling on the sofa, looks just like me right?

Except of course she still has a nice fluffy belly:-(

Thank you to Jet for the lovely birthday card, I’m going to take your advice and milk my birthday celebrations as long as possible:-)

Also thank you to Stanzes Blahbla, The Lonely DogsPrincess Zena,  DogDaz, Easy, Speedy and Mollie for helping me max out my stars!

6 stars

I’d like to give this back to you all!

Have a good day everyone!

Felicitous Friday

Wow, it seems to be award season again!

Thank you to Toby and his mum at Scienerf for passing me the One Lovely Blog Award. Isn’t it pretty?

If that wasn’t enough, Stanzes Blahbla has passed on the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award!! Amazing, thank you so much:-)

my first star!

The ‘rules’ for this award are simple:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favourite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

For more information check the FAQ on The Thought Palette.

So who to nominate? I decided to pick 15, but even narrowing down to them was hard. I was tempted to just give it to all of my bloggy friends, but usually people are too modest to take it. So I’m giving it to the following bloggies and I hope you will all pass it on so by the end of the year everyone will have 6 stars:-)

Bassa

Cats & Co

Clowie

Cupcake Speaks

Dogdaz

Doggy

Easy

Jaspers Doggy World

The Lonely Dogs

Long Life Cats and Dogs

Mollie

Princess Tails

Ruby

Sammy

Savannah

If you don’t already read their blogs please do stop by and say hello.

Have a good friday everyone!!

Things to do on Tuesday

Bored in blogville? Well here’s a few things for you to do today!

Firstly you may already know that Doggy‘s human, Leo, is taking part in Movember and will donate 50 cents to this fantastic cause for every comment left on his post, found here

If he gets too many comments, he’ll be bankrupt and will have to live in a cardboard box on the street. When this happens Doggy is going to come and live with me so we can play all day in the mud together:-) So basically please all comment on his post, I could do with a playmate!

Also, don’t forget to pop over to Mollie‘s where, if you haven’t already, you can sign up be ‘christmassed’. She now also has Christmas bandanas for sale. Mine’s already on order and I look forward to showing it off when it arrives:-)

In the meantime, both Mollie and Tyler’s at 99 have awarded me with the Family of Blogger’s award!

Thank you both very much. I especially like this award because I do feel like we are a family:-) And because of that I’m passing it on to you all. Don’t feel shy or embarrassed to take it, please just help yourselves.

After all that I think it’s time for a nap!

Sweet dreams everyone!

Seven things about me

The very lovely and regal Princess Zena has given me the Seven Things About Me award!! Thank you Zena :-)

For this award I need to share seven things about me and then nominate seven other blogs.  Thinking up some things you might NOT know about me is tricky as I’m a pretty open book. I’m sure if I ask you what my favourite food is you’ll know the answer as well as me! So what to tell you…?

  1. I love having my nose rubbed, especially in an upward motion towards my eyes, you can do that to me all day!
  2. When I need to go out to do my business, I let mummy know by licking her face incessantly and pawing at her.
  3. When mummy and daddy hug I have to jump up and join in the loves :D
  4. I like to be involved when mummy and daddy are busy, especially if they are looking for something. This includes putting my head in the way and standing right in front of them. They find it very annoying helpful.
  5. I’m a daddy’s girl
  6. Anyone ringing the doorbell has obviously come to see me, it’s important that I sit by the door so I can greet them.
  7. My wagging tail makes an excellent fan in the heat!!

Phew!! But who to pass it on to? This is even harder than thinking up my seven things!

Adventures of Ranger

Asta’s World

Dogs Rule Cats Drool

Hailey Chronicles

Molly the Wally

Raising Poppy Seed

Stanzes Blabla

If you don’t already read their bloggies please do pop by and say hello!

Thanks again to Zena!!!

ps. Don’t forget to enter Doggy’s treats and bandana competition!!
