Mystery of the missing kong

When I was younger I had a red kong. It was a ball with a hole in it perfectly sized for a small biscuit. I loved it and played with it constantly. But one day it went missing and mummy couldn’t find it anywhere. She knew how much I’d loved it so she bought me another one. But within a week or two that was gone too. It wasn’t replaced:-(

Anyway, yesterday I was playing with a squeaky ball in the kitchen when it disappeared. Mummy couldn’t find it anywhere, and I was pretty sad. But she noticed I kept looking at the corner of the cabinets. When she looked, there’s a small hole at the bottom where the two ends meet. And sure enough inside the gap there was my squeaky ball!

But even more amazing was that behind it were both my red kongs! Woohoo! Daddy blocked up the gap as best he could and mummy washed the kongs.

I haven’t stopped playing with them since:-) Unfortunately I was last seen with them in the kitchen…

Uh oh! I think I lost it again!

Uh oh! I think I lost it again!

Happy new year everyone!!

  1. Wow Misaki what a find. When I sit and refuse to move my peeps lets out a loud sigh and investigates and yep there is always something there that I want back. Under the sofa or the bed I know where those things are. You have to train mum and dad to listen to you. Have a marvellous Monday.

  16. What a score Misaki, one goes in and three come out! I think what you have there is a magic hole under the cupboards! … I wonder what would happen if you ‘accidentally’ popped a treat in there?

  17. Thank goodness the opening is blocked up. Clearly there’s a monster in there who loves juggling red Kong balls. Take THAT, juggling monster!

  28. Penelope says:

Dear Misaki, this is a common occurance.
Our Mommy has to move the refrigerator and the stove often to get the cat toys out. Mommy once roasted (actually burned to a crisp) a rather large catnip mouse that made its way under the stove, so this happens quite often.
May the best of this year be the worst of next!
    Kisses

  29. Wow, Billie lost her red kong not long after she got it – can you look in your kitchen please????

  30. Mom and Dad found some of my toys under furniture when we moved! I don’t let them see me playing with my toys by myself…that way they spend more time playing with me…then when they are gone…whamo!! I play by myself!! MOL
