Mystery of the missing kong

It was a ball with a hole in it perfectly sized for a small biscuit. I loved it and played with it constantly. But one day it went missing and mummy couldn’t find it anywhere. She knew how much I’d loved it so she bought me another one. But within a week or two that was gone too. It wasn’t replaced:-(
Anyway, yesterday I was playing with a squeaky ball in the kitchen when it disappeared. Mummy couldn’t find it anywhere, and I was pretty sad. But she noticed I kept looking at the corner of the cabinets. When she looked, there’s a small hole at the bottom where the two ends meet. And sure enough inside the gap there was my squeaky ball!
But even more amazing was that behind it were both my red kongs! Woohoo! Daddy blocked up the gap as best he could and mummy washed the kongs.
I haven’t stopped playing with them since:-) Unfortunately I was last seen with them in the kitchen…

Uh oh! I think I lost it again!
Happy new year everyone!!

Wow Misaki what a find. When I sit and refuse to move my peeps lets out a loud sigh and investigates and yep there is always something there that I want back. Under the sofa or the bed I know where those things are. You have to train mum and dad to listen to you. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
my humans definitely need more work! They are pretty dumb at times bol
Happy new year..Have a fab time if ya pawtying
xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
You too Mollipop:-)
Pmsl, so glad Toby isn’t the only one who does that! the amount of times I’ve moved the sofa and found an old toy I thought he must have buried outside! At least you’ll have a happy new year with those balls and kongs! xx
hehehe! Sounds like we’re pretty alike:-)
down to the pose you do when you know where it is but your mum and dad are clueless! hehe
Gosh Misaki….now you’ve got TWO red kongs and the “mystery hole” in the kitchen is blocked….you’ll have to find another fun spot to hide your toys!! Happy New Year Misaki and hugs to your humans too!!
Love, Sammy
Good point Sammy! I’ll have to start scouting for a good hiding spot:-)
Hey Misaki, Jet here.
Gotta love a solved mystery! We thought you might have buried them in the snow!!!
No snow sadly:-(
…hmmm maybe those evil birds?… Have a wonderful New Year, Misaki ;o)
Could be, Easy!
Hmmm…we don’t play with toys much but have never lost any, just killed a few. Our cats lose their toys a lot though. Have a great New Year’s Eve, don’t drink too much water!
Hope you had a good one too!!
Are you sure you aren’t part CAT? HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, we mallies are considered to be quite cat-like…:-)
What a great way to end the year! Happy New Year and all the best for 2013!
And to you too guys:-)
Saving things for a rainy day is a great idea but you have to remember where you saved them! Glad the humans worked it out in the end. Does that mean you can have extra treats now you have two Kongs?!
I had hoped it meant more treats, but so far mummy’s being stingy with my treat box:-(
What a perfect end of the year surprise!
it sure was!
Misaki, that’s awesome! I hope you didn’t lose it again. Stay away from the corner just to be safe.
I will try…though the ball seems to like heading that way bol
We had one of those “black holes” in the house we grew up in. Good thing you found them!
Sam
Thanks Sam!
Ha! Always great to find things tucked away! Happy New Year!
Oink oink,
Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
It sure is!!
Mine wind up buried deep under the couch. I don’t know why.
Must be those birds hiding them!!
What a score Misaki, one goes in and three come out! I think what you have there is a magic hole under the cupboards! … I wonder what would happen if you ‘accidentally’ popped a treat in there?
That is such a great idea, I might have to try that!
Thank goodness the opening is blocked up. Clearly there’s a monster in there who loves juggling red Kong balls. Take THAT, juggling monster!
Love and licks,
Cupcake
Maybe you’re right Cuppycake! I’ll have to keep an eye out!
Now that is a terrific way to start out the new year! It’s like Santa came all over again, isn’t it? We love you Misaki and we wish we were there to play ball with you! Lots of love from Mattie the foxhound, Simone the collie, and Eddie & Lucy the Jr’s. Oh and their peep.
I wish I could play ball with you all too!
wooohoo! what a find!
It really was!
Did your prize arrive yet?
yes, thank you:-) I’m a bit behind but will post about it on thursday:-)
You survived searching the “Black Hole!” Good work!!! I like to lose mine in places Ma can’t reach without squeakin’ “Oh, My knees, Poppy!
Hehehehe! Good work Poppy – it gets their joints working:-)

Yay! Happy new year to you too!
Have you tried wobble kongs? Great fun. The Pup and I have one each (though he tries to get both) and it gives us tons of fun
No, but I’ll get mummy to investigate. Sounds like fun!
Always great fun re-finding a favorite toy:)
Happy New Year! Thank you for your friendship and all the fun we have had.
Woos – Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, Lightning, and Mom Kathie
It really is. Happy new year to you too!
Dear Misaki, this is a common occurance.
Our Mommy has to move the refrigerator and the stove often to get the cat toys out. Mommy once roasted (actually burned to a crisp) a rather large catnip mouse that made its way under the stove, so this happens quite often.
May the best of this year be the worst of next!
Kisses
Nellie, Kozmo, the hairy slobbery sisters – Bob and Cinnamon and the Pawrents
Hey Nellie, getting them to lift and move furniture helps keep our humans fit – good job guys xx
Wow, Billie lost her red kong not long after she got it – can you look in your kitchen please????
I will do!
Great find xxx
it really was!
Mom and Dad found some of my toys under furniture when we moved! I don’t let them see me playing with my toys by myself…that way they spend more time playing with me…then when they are gone…whamo!! I play by myself!! MOL
Savvy, you are one clever kitty!
