Under house arrest
Posted: August 30, 2012 Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: alaskan malamute, puppy, season 29 Comments »I’ve been grounded and am not allowed out:-( We didn’t got to training class last night, my walks to the park have been suspended – I’m only allowed down the cycle paths on a very short lead – and on saturday when I was supposed to go with mummy and daddy to visit family, I’ve been told I have to stay home:-( This is soooo unfair!!!
You may ask what I’ve done to deserve this harsh punishment and the answer is nothing. Well nothing intentional anyway.
Apparently I’m ‘in season’ which explains why a boy doggie tried to get extra friendly with me the other day (how rude!). And because of this, I’M being punished. Its not my fault he couldn’t control himself!
So basically I’m stuck at home and bored. Luckily daddy is off today and grampy is coming over tomorrow to sit with me so I can annoy them with my extra squeaky ball:-)
Hope this doesn’t last too long though, I want to see my friends again!!
That isn’t fair is it? Hope you can get out without being harassed soon.

Best thing is, Mollie sent me ANOTHER squeaky ball as my competition prize so I can be EXTRA annoying hahahaha!
Hee hee you will have to get them both in front of you squeak one, then the other – I do it for hours especially when the program they have waited all night to watch comes on the tv! It’s great fun

Can’t they fix that for you, Misaki? When I was in the shelter, I had some puppies, and then when I came to live here, Mom said she would ‘fix me up’ or something like that….. I’m not sure how it works, but I only get punished when I’m naughty.

Mummy says they are going to have me ‘done’ whatever that means, but they want my hormones (whatever they are??) to settle down first… its all very confusing

I must admit, I AM getting lots of cuddles and treats. If it wasn’t for this season thing, I’d be in heaven!
That is a major bummer! I got really crabby to when I had my time of the year – glad mom somehow got rid of that problem for me, something about getting a fix or getting fixed. It was not a fun thing but I am much happier!
I can’t wait till its over! Mummy says she’ll have me ‘done’ once i’ve got through it so I won’t have to worry about it ever again!
Gee Misaki….I don’t know anything about that kinda stuff but it seems to me that it’s not fair for you to be punished for being so ATTRACTIVE to the boy doggies out in the world. Well, I’m sure your humans know what’s best for you – but certainly extra treats and bellyrubs are required!!

I know how you feel Misaki. I have that twice a year and it usually lasts about 3 weeks. This time though mummy took me to see Night Night and he got very friendly with me. Unfortunately I didn’t have puppies from it. I’m sad, mummy’s sad too. She said she will try once more and if it doesn’t work next time then she’s going to adopt a puppy for me. It’s best not to get fixed until after you have had at least one season, this lets you grow properly before it all stops. Mummy says you can buy special pants for when you go walkies, to stop those boys getting friendly.

Mummy says I’m going to be ‘done’, but like you say, they thought it was best to let me have one season so that i ‘settle’ down whatever that means. I think I’m pretty settled BOL.

Misaki, I hope the time will run fast and you can meet all your friends again. My dad was under house arrest during his whole childhood (his brother told me so) but I think for another reason (I hope this)…
