The morning after
Posted: July 22, 2012 Filed under: humans | Tags: alaskan malamute, bbq, birthday, puppy 30 Comments »I am exhausted!!
Daddy’s birthday was lots of fun though. First of all, Auntie Els came \o/ was soo excited to meet her in person and I gave her lots of doggy kisses.
Then lots of other people came and I spent the night greeting them all and making sure they were having a good time. It was tiring but I was determined to be the ‘hostess with the mostess’.
While making sure everyone had the opportunity to pet me and give me bellyrubs, I stood strategically by the food table and next to anyone eating. I gave them all my best starved dog look, but they were all very selfish and didn’t give me anything – so rude, especially after all my efforts! Daddy snuck me half a sausage but other than that my food consumption was very low. The rumours of the spoils of BBQs are grossly exaggerated.
Despite the severe lack of food, it was a good night. And most of all, daddy had a good time:D
Happy birthday Daddy!

Chicken
Posted: July 18, 2012 Filed under: food | Tags: alaskan malamute, chicken, kitchen, puppy 38 Comments »Last night daddy gave me some chicken <3 That is, he left it on the kitchen counter for me – that’s the same thing, right?
He didn’t want to be too obvious about letting me have it so he went into the lounge leaving me alone. I took it into the garden so I didn’t make a mess. But then mummy came home so I quickly ran inside to say hello before rushing out to munch on my prize
When she realised what I’d got, she started shouting and grabbed it off me (although I firmly had my teeth in one of the pieces and munched it quick-smart!). She told daddy and he had to pretend to be mad at me, but I knew he wasn’t really.
Don’t worry daddy, its our secret. Just let me have some more soon and I won’t tell!
Early morning trip
Posted: July 17, 2012 Filed under: photography, walks | Tags: alaskan malamute, butterflies, forest, puppy, work 23 Comments »Every morning at 6.30am mummy’s alarm goes off and that means breakfast time:-) But this morning it went off early. Daddy was also home, which was odd cos usually he leaves for work when mummy is still snoring. Something was definitely up!
Anyway, after a lot of rushing around they unceremoniously bundled me in the car without any explanation. It wasn’t until we stopped that I realised where we were: daddy’s office. He’s on holiday this week \o/ and decided to take me in to introduce me to his work friends. I got lots of cuddles and gave lots of doggie kisses:-) Mummy was going to take some photos but as everyone was in their work clothes daddy thought it might get him in trouble being that doggies aren’t really allowed. So we have to keep it a secret ssssshhhh!
Then afterwards we went on a nice walk where I chased butterflies.
What a great morning, unfortunately mummy had to go to work, so we couldn’t stay out long. Hope we get to go again, those butterflies are very elusive!

Mr Bear – Found \o/
Posted: July 12, 2012 Filed under: toys | Tags: alaskan malamute, puppy, washing 16 Comments »Yay! Mr Bear is back! He WAS bear-napped, but not by Lamb Chop – it was mummy!!!!
She claims he was ‘wet’ and ‘muddy’ (but I suspect she got wind of our fridge break-in plan) and so decided to waterboard wash him and then lock put him in the airing cupboard until he talked dried off. Hmmm…
Anyway, I am just glad Mr Bear is back!! Daddy says he is my partner in grime BOL.
Thank you for all your suggestions, advice and general well-wishing for Mr Bear. He and I have some catching up to do now.
pony
Posted: July 12, 2012 Filed under: dogs | Tags: alaskan malamute, lennox, mask, pony, puppy 29 Comments »While taking a break from looking for Mr Bear (still no sign *sigh*) I was reading Rumpy‘s post about Lennox, BSL and the dangerous dog act.
I too am a little worried that one day dogs like me will be considered dangerous. So have decided to pre-empt this by becoming a pony instead. Do you think I can get away with it??
