I think I’ve mentioned that often in the park I see Peggy, a three-legged terrier who often growls and barks at me (see my post called Bad).
Well anyway, I was jumping through the lovely long grass having a great time and along came Peggy with her human. I was wary at first as I have tried many times to befriend Peggy but she doesn’t seem interested. So today instead of barging up to her I stayed back and let her come to me. It worked! Peggy sniffed me and for once hardly growled and didn’t try to bite – not that I mind tbh, she’s so small I doubt she’d even be able to get through the fur on my neck! It went so well that we even had a little run around together. Yay friends at last
Wish my mummy had taken a photo of us together. Its typical: she takes ones of my rolling in fox poo, but not one of me and my new friend Peggy. Ah well, maybe next time.
The summer is finally here!! But Daddy is flaked out in front of the fan and says its too hot to play
Its supposed to hit 28°C this afternoon – wow! It wasn’t too bad this morning as the grass was wet in the park so I had a lovely roll around and got nice and dirty, especially as there was fox poo around hehe. Mummy wasn’t too impressed though.
Keep cool everyone!
Although I know humans are pretty silly, some of the things they do still amaze and confuse me.
Usually in the evenings we all make ourselves comfortable in the lounge on the sofa in front of the TV thingy. Its my favourite time of day because I’ve had my dinner and a nice walk, so I can relax with my humans and slowly drift off to dreams about rooms filled with bonios.
But last night just when I was getting settled, they decided to go out and watch someone else’s TV thingy, which they had to pay for! We have a perfectly good one at home and it’s free to watch. But apparently this was at something called a cinema and they show films we can’t watch at home. Sounds like a waste of money to me. And worst of all, dogs aren’t allowed so I got left behind on guard duty:-( Talk about selfish!
I did get lots of cuddles when they got home, but even so they are both in the cat house. It will take quite a few bonios for me to forget this!

Slobbery doggie kisses,
Instead of making me some treats from the new recipe book like she said she would, mummy cheated and bought some from Mollie’s mummy instead!
They have now arrived and look yummy! Thank you Mollie’s mummy.
But because of the bonio incident (hehe) they are being strictly rationed and they have been hidden on top of the freezer, which is about 6ft high. When I stand on my back legs, stretching as much as I can, I only reach 5ft so I guess I need to look into getting stilts. Or a pogo stick. Alternately I need to be on my best behaviour from now on and maybe they’ll let me have some!
As you know, I take my humans to training class twice a week (they are very slow learners) and I love going as I have lots of friends there. In fact, as soon as the car door opens I run as fast I can can to get into the hall where its held
So tonight mummy tried to take some photos of my friends from training, but we were all playing about so much, some of them are a little blurred:
A few weeks ago I mentioned that my friend Willow had been nominated for the Give your Dog a Bone award, and I’m delighted to say that she won her category – Special Bond:
I may have mentioned, in passing, that I’m rather partial to bonios. And yesterday I was in bonio heaven
When mummy put a bonio in my special ball as she does every morning before she goes to work, she left the box on the table rather than back on the top of the freezer. At first I thought maybe it was a test to see if I could resist them, afterall she must realise how easy it would be for me to get them down? But when it comes to bonios, I have no resistance. So after a moment of hesitation, I stretched up and grabbed the box! It was almost full so I was in bonio heaven Nom nom nom.
When daddy came home, he didn’t realise. He thought I’d chomped up an empty box BOL. But when Mummy came home, she told me off though. It was worth it and if had to make the decision again, I’d definitely make the same one:-)
